Additionally she leads efforts to convene stakeholders engaged with regional sustainability challenges so that innovative and practical responses can be co designed and implemented.
Hilary has been honored for her work with the Mitchell International medal for ‘Young Sustainability Scholar.’ She co-edited the bestselling Handbook of Action Research (Sage, 2001 [1st edition], 2007 [2nd edition]) with Peter Reason; she is also Editor-in-Chief of the international, peer reviewed Sage journal, Action Research, considered the strongest performing of Sage Publications “young” journals. Her own peer reviewed journal articles have appeared in Organization Science, Academy of Management Executive, Journal of Management Inquiry, and Organization Development Practitioner, among others. Hilary grew up in Ireland and has lived and worked in Europe and Asia; she speaks five languages.
